  • Hello, first of all. I want my enemies turn their head to moving direction.

    I wrote moveto and pathfinding behaviours and they are working fine but I dont know hot to calculete movement angles.

    Ps: I am not native english speaker. Sorry for mistakes.

  • Use the pathfinding behaviour.

    Every X seconds find path to player.X,player.Y

    On Path found - Move along path

  • I want to enemy follow player around walls until seing the player from a distance. I give two boolen to enemy.

    1- i saw you

    2- i am seeing you

    What i am tring to do is When a enemy saw player once and isnt seeing current moment, patchfind to player until see player again. Please Help

  • You can use line of sight behaviour on the player where if player has sight of the enemy then the enemy will stop, you can set the line of sight to a 360deg range around the player. Or from the enemy perspective you can stop moving along a path if distance between enemy and player is a certain value, use distance() command with the two objects enemy and player.

    Thanks for the advise. I did what you said with move to behavior. I tried pathfinding calculete player location and move along when calculated but didnt work. Enemies just standing.

  • I am a beginner and I thought making my own game best way to learn constuct 3 instead of making preset tutorial game.

    I am making a top-down shooter game. I want to enemy move towards to player slowly but stops in certain range. I certanly doing trial and error with pathfinding and move to behaviors.I didnt find to correct answer. I dont know how to do it clearly . Please help

  • You need to use "for each CommieMinnak". This will check each individual object for its angle and set accordingly.

  • I am making a top-down shooter game. I create a simple sprite enemy and dublicate for testing. I want to enemies look through to players position. The problem is animations stuck with first created one. I want every sprite induvidually play right animation.

    I also tried cloning instead of dublicating but give me worst result.This way just first one playing animations right and others just standing.

  • Also, as far as game design goes, hand crafted levels are going to be superior to randomly generated ones 99% of the time, for much less work. I highly recommend building the rest of the game first, using a sample /example handcrafted level first, as the "fun-ness" of your game should not be dependent on procedural generation. When your core game is ready, you can add procedural generation of levels afterwards. By doing this, you'll also have a much clearer scope of what exactly you need your procedural generation to do.

    Thanks for the advise. I will make my game half handcrafted , half random generated. For generetor part , i bought dop2000's random level generator from store. And for "fun-ness" part , I wrote fun and absurt little story which fun with my countries politics in a parody way.

  • I am making a top-down shooter game.I want to player see different dungeons when player died or another playthrough.Because of that I want to make random dungeon generator. I thought i can prepere preset tilemap rooms and connect together somehow. I dont know to how to do that. I just want to example or clue to do that.

  • Use the "Is Between Angles" system condition instead. Also, I think your angle is reversed.
