  • In my heart, I want to believe that if I make a truly great game it will generate its own audience. I know from other people's stories that isn't necessarily the case. I can't let my worries about success or failure hurt what I'm making. So for now, I'm just going to keep making.

    but for playin the game, he needs to be attracted at first to even klick on it. everyone would klick on a game that looks like Diablo more likely than on one that looks like MS Paint Wars.

    Also I as a graphic dude believe, that good graphics are an essential part of gameplay as well.

  • Canvas2D is kind of the engine behind it. Use WebGL instead it´s way faster! Should be in the properties bar I guess.

    You definitely can use many layers man, don´t be to worried about that. All my games use many layers and run 100% performant.

    Every tick can be replaced with every 0.1-0.5 seconds for exaple with reduces the calculation behind it.

    As you already said, it seems to be common to put in PDFs that direct to the source of the font. (I discovered the same on some GraphicRiver items)

    So I uploaded a new version doing exactly this + a warning that you have to give the liscence a close view.

  • There is no magic number! Hype comes with people liking the idea and SHARING it.

    No offense, but I'm pretty sure that your graphics are the reason you don't get the attention you would like to get.

    Gamers are one of the Graphically most sophisticated audiences. Gameplay ideas don't really count in there eyes if they aren't visually supported:-)

  • For me downscaling on portal-sites doesn´t work even if I choose different export options.

    It just jumps between normal and "way smaller and blurry" but no fluent scaling.

    It's just like you guys mentioned. The liscence of the font i used allows commercial-purpose for graphics texts etc. So technically it is okay (besides including it in the package) to use it for selling graphics, which it just are. I also see heaps of flaticon-icons already, so that there won't be a single Interface that could be 100%secure

    Well, yeahhh it definitely is limiting and I´ll surely will add some PNG´s etc in near future to make it available for a wider range. It´s just a timesaver at the moment and I´m pretty busy right now. If there is serious interest I´ll make it asap, if not it may takes some time

    Also...I´m honest right now....I´m pretty sure that you always need access to a graphic-dude or graphic software to make such an interface, whether it´s from me or from someone else, work 100% professionally! There are heaps of templates on graphicriver etc, but I don´t see any that would cover all I need with just PNGs, not even the fundamentals.

    Well, I honestly got this font from a package of a major site advertising "100% free - use it everywhere, anytime" under CC-0 liscence. I may need to check that again and see if it is okay to put it in directly into the package or if I should put in a doc which leads to the source. Thanks for that!
