  • I have the Latest Cocoonjs Launcher 1.4.1 for IOS, and I have R139. When I change the physics engine to Accelerated I still get a black screen with the exact same error... Any news on this issue?

  • I just tested the Cocoon 1.4 on Android, and it seems that it loads layout by layout on their. I noticed an increase in performance, however on IOS there is def no increase in performance

  • When you check the Memory Log it should bring up some form of error surely? Also, I am not entirely convinced that this new 1.4 on IOS is actually Loading Layout by Layout. I notice that when I have a layout with very few sprites, I will still see a poor performance of 7-15fps. This has been a really big disappointment. In all honesty, I can see no noticeable improvement with regards to performance. Does anyone feel the same about this? Or am I just being cynical?

If I switch to standard web based, my game works at about 20-30fps

  • Does anyone have an idea of when the accelerated physics engine will be able to work, as of now it just seems to bring up a black screen with errors

Yeah, we have been waiting for 3 months too :)

Unfortunately I am very impatient ha ha

I am sure they must be working very hard, I was just under the impression that the Accelerated Physics were up and running, It seems like that was posted for the R138 update.

Just trying to find out if I'm unaware of a certain issue regarding this problem.

    Anyhoo, Thanks for the reply

    Always much appreciated.

And be sure to let us know what your game is called.

    Kind Regards

  • So awesome news, Cocoonjs 1.4 was released on the IOS Appstore today, bad news . . . when I try to run my game on accelerated physics after I have exported it to the Launcher. I am greeted by a black screen that does nothing... any ideas how to fix this problem without switching back to the Standard Web Based physics?

  • Ashley

I'm running R139 now, and when I export the project to Cocoonjs 1.4 using the accelerated physics. I hit a black screen and nothing happens. The Memory Log gives me some error about the Box 2d Physics, so I assume it has to be the accelerated physics, because the Standard Web Based physics still work when the file is exported.

Its pretty crucial for our game performance on mobile, as it's obviously the physics that slows our game down. Any Idea how to fix this without having to switch back to the Standard Web Based physics?

Thanks very much for letting us know that info :)

I was wondering what the heck had happened.

CocoonJS 1.4 has yet to be released on the iOS platform . . .

    We are STILL waiting !!!

  • ludei

    Dear all,

The new version is almost here. It's a matter of a few days. We prefer not to release on friday...

    You'll see the huge changelog ( June 28 )

It's now the 18 of July and it is Still not in the IOS App Store...

Can you atleast give us an indication of the pending situation as I'm sure it is out of your hands with regards to the release on IOS.

    Kind Reagrds

  • Well I have yet to test V 1.4

Hearing all the errors and bug reports is worrying . . .

And we're on the verge of releasing our new version on the App Store.

Does anyone know how the new Layout by Layout loading is working?

    Is there improved FPS ?

Any idea of Cocoonjs 1.4 release date to the IOS AppStore ?

  • Yeah, It's a little disappointing to get an email about the upcoming version of cocoonjs 1.4 before the end of the month of May, just to find out that almost 1 month later after you receive the email, its still not out. Not a word to inform you why, which would be understandable in my opinion. I have delayed the release of my game to the appstore because of the fixed memory management which is going to be in the newer version, but last night I was forced to just submit it, because the release is just around the corner.... still....

And while I am a big Fan of Ludei and the software that they produce, It is hands down the best !!! Keeping your Users in the Dark for so long is somewhat poor on their behalf, hope the release is ready soon.

  • If you plan on getting rid of that extra blue box next to your image, Open your image in Image Editor, and simply press the Crop button... It's that simple.
