    huh? In what way do you mean? Do you mean "Depressing how freaky people can be. Going to a circus scool!? What kind of a future does that poor kid have?"

    Or do you mean "Depressing how much that kid is doing on his spare time. I just slack in front of my computer all day."

    If you ment the first one, then you're pretty much right. I will probably get a low paid unstable job, and when i turn 40 i'll have to give up the circus and spend the rest of my life selling hot dogs.

    If you meant the other one, i have a few things to say to you. Practicing circus isn't my spare time. Its like doing my homework for me. Construct is my spare time. Slacking in front of my computer is my spare time, and you guys do that all the time.

    My name is Jonatan and i live in Alby (the ghetto outside of Stockholm) in Sweden. I'm 17 years old, and turn 18 in october.

    I'm going to a circus gymnasium run by Cirkus Cirk�r, where i practice acrobatics, russian swing and teeterboard. I've also been doing a lot of card magic, and i just started fire breathing. In the future i plan to have Hoop diving as my major dicipline.

    Most of my time is spent on practice, but on my spare time i create games, compose music and take a shower.

  • Dammit my heartbeat increased a lot when i read that post! I actually believed it when i finnished... for a few seconds, then i saw the date at the top of the post. Then i realized it wasn't in the announcements section. Then i read what the others had written. But you soure scared me!

  • Hmm... i can't really figure it out.. Wait, i got it! They're lousy cowards who's afraid of losing all of their customers. Therefor they try to stop you from creating a better product, and they try to stop your demo from getting attention.

    But seriously now. My real theory is... ehm... i can't actually come up with a better theory.

  • Until now i've used both mmf and construct, and i've liked and used both communitys. This showed me who's the bad guys. The whole thing sickens me!

    And SPHAX!!! It would be something else if someone else just made it for fun!

  • Ok.. My jaw just dropped when i saw the first message in this topic. I got really REALLY dissapointed in the whole mmf community. WHY would they choose to make an exact copy of construct's demo, eccept to show "Look, we can do the same thing!" Is it really that hard to come up with an other way to show of the pixel shader effects? And the worst part; They didn't even MENTION construct, scirra or ashley! Now he's put a little comment saying "This is not an original idea, so take this open-source MMF2 HWA tech demo as a simple tech demo and not a complete original game", but it still doesn't mention where it comes from. Something like "Keep in mind that this is just a copy of a demo made in construct" and a link would be better. I must admit i'm a little dissapointed that i missed the arguing, and that i can't even read it, but it's probably better like this. I would probably break my computer in some way otherwise. This is the drawback with communicating on the internet. You can't give people a good old punch in the face when they deserve it.
