  • I don't have time to look at your cap right now, but have you tried the bullet template/tutorial that comes with construct.

    it's under file> new from template (I think) >(one of the files in there).

    I do agree. I like the ambiguity of the original graphics. Some may like the new look, but I love the hazy feel of the original.

    BTW. at any rate the game was really inspiring to me. Not that I want to make a game like it, rather it reminded me of what computer games should/could be.

    I have been desiring to make long epic games but have no time. The game reminded me an epic game does not have to be epic in length (not that I beat this game )

    Actually, the SNES Shadow run was an inspiration for this game.

  • 1.On the layers palette, select a layer which should scroll/zoom "slower" (usualy on right of screen, if not turn it on via the ribbon bar in the home tab)

    2.look to the left and you'll see layer properties; use these to change scroll speeds (tip: only change the ones which end in "Rate" for what you want to do) try putting one at 50, another at 25 etc.

    If you put center camera on me on two objects, one on your character, and one on something else that will stay within the screen with your character at the same time; the camera centers between them.

  • I think it would only be useful if we could get both layout and event sheets.

    Most events refer to objects after all.

  • Hey I've had this floating around on my hard drive and haven't touched it.

    It's the beginnings of a JRPG style battle system. it uses families to deal with both player and enemy characters, so little programming effort...I hope.

    I made one before this, but I was attempting to cut the RPG to the essentials so I kept trying.

    I ended up making this, please feel free to use/ mod it.

    The code is not the best, but it is a decent start just bare in mind it was made with an older version of construct, but put it into .997 and changed the "flash object" settings to work with it.

    it also saves stats to the C:\ folder (at least I think that's where I put it) problem is it saves HP, so you may need to delete the file to revive yourself, unless I fixed it and don't remember (possible )

    Also, I have no spells or skills added yet...
