  • I am making a game and I want to randomly adjust the pitch of the gun fire sound effect every time it plays. But I cannot find a way to easily do that. Does anybody know a way to easily adjust the pitch of sound effects in construct 2? If anybody can help please respond, Thank you.

    PS I am not apposed to using 3rd party plugins.

  • I am creating a top down zombie shooter and I am currently programming the zombies, but I ran into a problem. The zombies tend to stack up when chasing the player, giving the imprecation that there are less zombies than there really are. The zombies AI uses a combination of path-finding and 8-directions. I would like the zombies to sort of repel each other (similar to Minecraft http://static.planetminecraft.com/files ... 177659.jpg).

    I have tried making the zombies have the Solid behavior but that leads to very glitchy behavior (Like zombies pushing the player thru walls). If anybody can help please respond. Thank You

  • Hello everybody! I am currently making a creepy top down shooter in construct 2 and the game has pixel art, But my problem occurred when trying to make some glitch effects in the game using community made effects. (Channel Separation and VHS Damage) I want most of the game itself to look like I have full-screen scaling turned to low but I want the glitch effects to look like full-screen scaling is set to high. I have tried to use the pixellate effect but the effect does not work properly, thou I am not apposed to using the pixellate effect. If any body can help please respond. Thank You

    I'm currently trying to do a top-down shooter/survival/crafting/mining type of game.

    (Really ambitious, considering that I'm only a free-edition user with only the basics and some "Pong" kind of game.)

    I've been running into problems with "mining", aka couldn't think of a way to interact with the Tilemap, and I'm hoping to glean some sort of info that will help with my game.

  • Hello to all who visit this post, I have a exiting announcement and that is my creation of a tile based destructible environment! (Like Minecraft)

    I made a post a few weeks ago talking about a tile based destructible environment and I got very little feed back so ever since than I have been working on a destructible terrain of my own.

    This system is very flexible and can easily be adopted to other games.

    The code itself is fairly simple but is works very well and you can normally keep up a descent frame rate.

    If anyone wants to put this in there game than please feel free to do so. (But if you do put it into your games please tell me about because I would love to see what you can make!)

    I hope you all have fun with this system and maybe some of you found it helpful.

  • Does any body know how to make a Bro Force style destructible environment? What I mean by this is a tile based destructible environment where every tile has a certain amount of health and some of the blocks may be effected by gravity or will explode when destroyed. I believe that is could be done with Tile Maps and Arrays. If any body has any idea how this could be accomplished within construct 2 (without using a hole bunch of Sprites.) than please send me a CAPX or instructions of how I could do this my self. Thank you.

  • Does any body know how to convert HSL or HEX value to RGB values? I am making a game with randomized colors and I want to just change the hue, so that the brightness and the saturation stay the same but the actual color changes. I have tried using the "AdjustHSL" effect but I need it to apply to an entire layer and not just one image. I am currently using the "Tint" effect but it works in RGB value and not HSL. If any body know how to use HSL values in the "Tint" effect please tell me!
