  • Hi, I made a video explaining step by step how to get your Steam Achievements and Overlay working properly with Greenworks. The Greenworks plugins have an official documentation but I found that it left out a lot of important details that you need to get things working properly.

Hopefully, this video can clarify that part and complement the documentation.

  • Well done! Congrats!

So the game is running inside some sort of wrapper for consoles, correct?

    Thanks!

I would imagine that's the case. The port was handled by the publisher so I don't have all the details.

  • Hello, nice project, congratulations.

How the porting works? Did you need to redo parts of your project to be able to port it? Do you have any tip for people that may be porting a project someday?

Thanks, I didn't have to change much in the game. There's a couple of stuff we need to add that are specific to each console. Like the gamertag on Xbox and trophies on Playstation. But other than that the code stayed the same.

Regarding tips I would just say choose your publisher wisely, do your research and make sure you pick the right one for your project. Outside of that when it comes to coding the game always assume you are making it for a crappy device. That way you can be sure it won't have any problem running everywhere.

  • Hi,

Congrats for the release. BTW how much does it cost to port to consoles?

Thanks! I couldn't say. For this I actually got a publisher and they managed everything about the consoles ports. The game was ported by Ratalaika Games.

Hi friends! I'm Aj Ordaz, solo developer, and I wanted to introduce to you my new game A Pretty Odd Bunny.

A Pretty Odd Bunny is a stealth-platformer about a carrot-allergic bunny who likes to eat pigs. In this game you play as the titular bunny, navigate levels fill with platforming challenges, deadly carrot fields and a fair amount of rabbits friends who don't support your food choices and will do everything in their power to stop you from reaching the pig at the end of the level.

    Download here

    This free first chapter features:

    • 25 challenge-filled levels.

    • Tricky stealth action

    • Hidden collectible BACON COINS.

    • 2 Unlockable Extra Levels.

    • Funny bloody humor.

    • Peculiar bunny lore.

    • Hours and hours of fun!

I hope you get a chance to play the game and if you like it, please consider supporting the development of Chapter 2 on Patreon.

Also if you have any feedback, it would be greatly appreciated. A Pretty Odd Bunny is an ongoing game and it can only be better with your comments and suggestions.

Thank you and see you around!

    AJ

  • Ideally it will use physics. I tried cheating the behavior without physics but it didn't work.

  • I am trying to make a frog tongue work like a grappling hook. You would touch the screen and the frog would shot its tongue in the direction of the touch. If the tongue hits a platform it graps to that platform and makes the frog swing acting like a grapplink hook or rope.

The frog can then swing in order to move to a different platform.

I have been looking throught the forum and some old videos and there's apparently a way to do it. Unfortunately all the links to examples and capx are old and not available anymore.

This video actually shows exactly what I'm looking for but there's no capx or tutorial on how to do it:

    youtube.com/watch

How can I do this mechanic? Any tips?

    Thanks in advance,

  • Try Construct 3

  • Did you guys managed to make it work? I've been trying without luck. After creating the json file I get this error:

"The bundle config file included in this upload has an invalid configuration: fbapp-config.json contains invalid JSON."

Not sure if I am creating the file correctly.

  • Hi thank you for your interest. I haven't think of Instant games so far but it could be a good feature to add.
