for those that don't know. A Game of Thrones is an awesome new(5 episodes in) high fantasy series on HBO based on the books of the same name. 9.4 on imdb with over 9,000 votes. Acting, directing, script, costumes, sets, effects, music, and sound are all feature film quality. The books and author (george r r martin) are highly regarded among fans of the genre.

Yeah I caught the first 2 eps and they were great! Missed the 3rd and 4th but got them in the end so just going to let them all build up and have a viewing marathon on a Sunday

Read the book before the show premiered, currently going through the second book. Been following the show, obviously.

Some of the casting felt odd in the beginning because some of the actors are way older than their book counterparts. Though it's an understandable choice from HBO's perspective, and the actors do a good job portraying the characters. Tyrion was perfectly casted though!

I really like the show. I hadn't heard about the books and adverts made it look like lord of the rings.

I watched the first episode with my mum, i wasn't expecting all the sex, dwarf sex, gay sex, incest lol.

It's a great show, I have to say though I was expecting some slightly bigger epic battles!

I'm a bit disappointed I have to wait till next year to see more episodes. I'm not sure if I should read the books or just wait forever for them to make the next TV episodes.

I havent read the books, but it seems to me that the epic battle will be in series 2, dragons and all, when the different story lines will probably converge.

Read the books. There's a lot of stuff that's left out.

I really hope they don't call the next season Game of Thrones Season 2, that'd be stupid.

I hope they call it Game of Thrones 2. Thanks I'll have a look at the books then, I'm scared if I start reading the 2nd book I won't know who everyone is (can't remember everyone's names in the cutscenes)
