I know it's pretty bad, but I had to upload it to make sure I will continue making tutorials of which I hope they will at least make sense.

I now understand why it's hard to create interesting and informative tutorials, so lesson learned.

You have to start somewhere right?

  • Just watched your tutorial, and it's pretty good for a first try!

Seems to be a good way to introduce beginners to the software. And will help to familiarize them with the interface, and some basic actions.

Instructions are all very clear and easy to follow. But why did you apologise (at the end) for being Dutch, I think that's pretty cool   <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

Anyway, nice work! I've subbed your channel, and I'll keep an eye open for more tuts.

  • Haha..

My English accent doesn't make any sense and usually when I tell people I'm Dutch they make this "hmm, now I understand"-kinda face..

So I thought I might aswell explain why they can't place the accent..

Apologizing for being Dutch wasn't necessary, but always makes me smile..

  • You have really nice and calm voice.

    Thank you.. :)

  • If you say "It's not very good" all the time, no one's going to watch it. I liked the video, except the intro was a little bit too "radio-ish" for me. Act natural, the tutorial was good.

    Haha, point taken!

I will eventually get more comfortable making these things.

When I'm actually talking about the stuff I know it's much easier and I'm less concerned about how I come across.

This first one was a bit confronting, so that's why I feel like it could be a lot better.

It's real uncertainty and not meant as a way for fishing for compliments, but I can understand it bothers people.

  • Congrats! You are now more experienced than many of us who haven't created any video tutorials yet!

My recommendation would be to explain why you do certain things, like I don't think you explained why you use the 16:9 aspect ratio.

Overall, great video, I'd watch more. As you publish more and get more experience, the videos will only get even better!

Thanks, I guess I was being too self-critical..

Will take care of that explaining my decisions part.

  • Well done. I'm looking forward to more. You have shared so much knowledge on these forums and I'm sure your video tutorials will turn out great!

  • You don't need to apologize for being dutch, but you need to apologize for the queues all your caravans cause on our Autobahn. :-D

    Real good tutorial BTW.:)
