Site List: Graphic Artists

Gentlepersons,

I've collated the following list of sites from numerous forum threads as well as personal research, and have currently organized them into eight general categories: broker sites, fixed-price assets, free art assets, freelance forums, galleries, job bidding, job opening, and miscellaneous.

Please correct the sites, suggest new ones, and tell me which are flat out wrong. Thanks for your help!!

Glad it's helpful! If they don't check in on this thread, I'll contact the original posters to see if they can clarify categories, and I'll start vetting each of the sites.

Thanks! A lot of people posted some excellent leads.

As I'm vetting the sites, I'm converting the bare addresses to embedded hyperlinks, which can be considered a progress monitor. =) After I get this initial list squared away, I'll start adding a few paid asset sites, too, like iStockPhoto and others. iStockphoto isn't ideally suited for traditional game development (they only rarely allow contract work), but the art can nonetheless be purchases and adapted, particularly for backgrounds.

Mods, given the overlapping subject matter, I wasn't sure whether to post this here or in Tools/Resources. Thoughts?

I've now vetted all of the original suggestions from the Scirra forums, and added a number of my own. Thanks to everyone for your input (and debugdesign, you'll see I added the store to the list -- nice work!), and please continue to add to the list! I'll keep updating as I run into promising leads.
