  • I'm terrible at game design, can't fix a few issues in my games, so I want someone to help me develop my games. Willing to pay, willing to take volunteers. Email me:

  • By design, do you mean game design, or event design, event design is more programmer oriented, while game design is documented.

If game design, I can help.

I wouldn't mind help with game design as well, anything that makes my games better is fine by me.

  • I'd help make a couple of levels for you for volunteering just to gain more experience

The game is planned to have (roughly) 72 levels - 32 based on SMB, 40 based on Lost Levels. I've gotten 6 done so far, 10 more in the works. If I can't come up with anything new for the boss battles after 32 levels, though, I'll scrap the rest of the levels.

  • I can volunteer just to gain experience, contact me on mail:

  • sorry, mihael(dot)belko@windowslive(dot)com

  • Just thought I'd give a quick update, sorry if I'm bumping a necro post!

I'm taking the level design and flipping it 90 degrees into vertical platforming. However, I also want original level design. Some people have asked me to help after others volunteered, and I said I didn't need any more help, but right now, I think more designers would be beneficial for me.

I also welcome and accept critique and criticism of, and any ideas for, the game: https://www.dropbox.com/s/a07r4gdhlvpqg ... .capx?dl=0

An idea offered was to make it so the camera didn't let you see the enemies ahead, but moved with the rising fire. I initially didn't like this idea, but I think it could work for a bonus area or post-game challenge.

Ideas of my own include: a points system, lives, extra life item, secret areas, game over screen, different endings, and letting people mod the game. One way I wish to let people mod the game is a carousal selection of sprites: i.e., hit the 6 Key to change the enemies' sprites, hit it again to change the enemies' sprites again, etc. Ideas for sprites include different level themes: food, music, casino, etc.

The javascript error is not yet fixed, so the game can't be previewed entirely - only the title screen, manual, mode select screen, credits, and the individual levels. Savegame (which happens between levels) can't be previewed. But the cheat codes work now.

Lastly, let me know your name so I can add you to the credits! If you don't want to be added, though, that's fine. <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile">
