IntelXDK - Slow

I haven't worked in C2 for about a year now due to the exports not working as expected. Today I tried the Cordova export with Intel XDK using one of the templates (RTS), was able to build and run the game on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4, but its extremely slow.

I have read everything about export and performance on the forums, the official Cordova posts also looks like they are outdated.

Is there something Im doing wrong? Has anyone been able to successfully run a game on a device using IntelXDK/Cordova?

If anyone else has issues with Intel XDK, here is what worked for me:

Dont use the normal Android build function, only use Crosswalk

If you get an error on Android (cant install application), make sure you ticked Sign application.

No need to tick "media" to play sounds

If you are using AdMob, make sure "Admob plugin" is ticked

Only tick "device" in the left side panel, not device in the right panel

I've found crosswalk works a lot faster too, also making sure you have the absolute newest version of the XDK.

Problem with crosswalk is huge filesizes.

Crosswalk works definitly better. But CocoonJS is still the best for me. And if the only plugin you need is the AdMob then you can follow this tutorial I think: https://www.scirra.com/tutorials/781/ho ... b-cocoonjs (need premium tho)

Update:

Setting the Crosswalk runtime to 7, solved the lag we had on the games.

What version of CW was you using before?

I'm fearing the day when i have to wrap up my game for iOS and Android. Seems more of a hassle than anything... Wish C2 could output a apk straight out of the box.
