7 Errors is a game where you have to find the 7 mistakes before time runs out. Can you find all 7? Have fun looking.
  • I keep getting a crash from "Invalid Texture Reference."

Happens after importing a few PNG files with transparency and running it. It will run fine until I close it, then I get the Texture error. The PNG's are all located on the same HDD, not elsewhere and I am importing them directly into the layout, not at runtime.

Can't work on much of anything with this crash right now.

    Vista SP1

    8800GTS

  • Can't edit, but here's the error:

Got it again just now, after copy pasting a few PNG into sprites.

  • I've had that error before too, not for a while though. I never managed to twig any relation to anything I was doing, but now you mention the PNG import, it hasn't happened to me for a while and I haven't imported any sprites in a while either.

  • Try Construct 3

  • Can you get it reproducable and send a .cap file that can make it happen reliably? These things are usually easy to fix - so long as I can get it to happen for me...

  • Extremely difficult to reproduce reliably. However, I noticed it happened sooner if I import a PNG and then copy that sprite (from animation editor with ctrl + c) to a new sprite, and then delete the original. Also, fullscreen seems to affect how soon it happens.

However, if I save before I run the app, the next time I open the cap and run it, doesn't happen right away.

I'm still seeing if I can make a cap.

  • Well, looks like for my case it is directly related to Vista Themes. If I disable Glass, so far, I am unable to reproduce the crash.

Also, with Glass disabled, Construct comes back to focus 3-5 times faster with no (Not Responding) in the title bar.

  • I get this one when clicking run layout.

It happened to me when I had XP x64. Hasn't happened in Vista yet, but I haven't had a lot of chance to test it yet.
