Platformer "Tutorial?"

My usage of quotes is overloading.

Anyways, I couldn't find a proper Platformer tutorial, and when I looked at some platformer .cap's, the Events were too complicated and didn't explain the Variables too well.

So all I'm asking is a simple Platformer tutorial/example that includes left and right movements, jump (double jump, but not needed), and paltforms. ;p

So I'd be glad if anyone helped me with this.

There isn't a full tutorial yet, but try New Template/Example and select Simple Platformer. It's very simple. All you need is:

• The platform behavior on something
• The ground marked as 'solid'
• 'Center view on me' attribute on the player to make it scroll.

No events there!

I'm working on a series of platformer tutorials. I've been busy with a competition entry and subsequent hard-drive crash, but soon I'll be able to pick up work on them again.

I have an older platform example that covers scrolling and animations. It might be somewhat helpful until Deadeye's is ready.
