When I copy and paste a sprite they both seem to be linked, but it would be nice to have it create a new object.

IE i copy and paste a sprite, double click the new one and change the image both change, where as it would be better to have them independant?

Same here. Copying an object to paste an entirely independent copy would be a tremendous help, as I have many different sprites planned for a game that have similar visual qualities with only a few tweaks.
