Construct Classic r1.1 released (retracted)

Hate to say it, but this issue will probably happen more often now, and that's not necessarily, a bad thing. It is a test build after all.

We just need to have changes to plugs done separately.

It's time for a compiled plugin repository.

I don't know how hard it would be to add an updater to Construct Classic itself, but a tool made in CC that would do it for you should be pretty straight forward.

I'm getting a crash on startup!

I use a Mac with Parallels. So far even Construct Classic r1 ran fine. This new version has the following problem: "This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem."

I ran it on both Macs with parallels - that already had Construct running fine - and both had the same problem. What could be happening??

Good thing I didn't download. Hopefully everything gets fixed.

And since i never use the physics object, there shouldn't be any problems either way, right?

Just trying to pin down the exact cause of this problem. I think it's another case of Microsoft issuing a security update which quietly compiles itself in to the IDE then the vcredist that's bundled with the installer becomes out of date. Very frustrating, especially since there doesn't seem to be any notice or warning from Microsoft... oh well.

Anyways I think the solution might be this:

If this build had an error starting up for you, can you try downloading & installing vcredist_x86.exe from that link and let me know if the editor works/doesn't work afterwards? Thanks!

Downloaded and installed it, and it gave the previously mentioned error.

Installed the runtime, and it works fine now.

Can anyone else confirm?

I can confirm r1.1 works for me with the new vcredist update.
