but when i checked update from construct 0.98.2 it said you are updated

I had the same problem. I think that was just because of the server issues. Try again now if you haven't already.

i wish more people used construct, its much better than eg game maker but quite few people use it compared, im not really seeimg any construct games on other sites...

It took years before Game Maker reached the level of usage and exposure it gets now, same with MMF. Once some great games are made with it, it'll inspire other people to try it out.
