Why wont my music or sound play in previews, debugging, or itch.io?

My songs and sounds in their respective files will not play even though i have events set up to play them. As well i checked the security(lock icon) menu on the preview browser window and it only shows flash privileges not Audio(what would show up if it even were playing audio) so i know its not muted and its set to 0 db so it should play. I even pumped it up to 100 db once and i heard nothing. I tried putting my song into the sound file(got that advice from an old post), which didnt work. I saw something that said i should change my preview browser but in my version of Construct 3 i for some reason cant do that. I dont know if its intentional or not, but please, someone help me get my audio to play ;-;

It should work. It's hard to say more unless you share your project. Make sure all the audio files are valid WebM Opus files.

The usual reason is needing a user input to enable sounds.

I used .wav files is that why it isnt working?

If you imported .wav files, and Construct converted them to WebM for you, it should work. Again, it's hard to say more without seeing the project.
