  • I've updated the download links in the original post with a new version that should work around the issue with Cloud Save not working in the update. Can anyone confirm it solves the problem?

  • Ashley Yes. Both stable and beta releases work. All 3 cloud options open just fine. Thanks.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • I've updated the download links in the original post again, to update the NW.js version to 0.33.3 which fixes an issue with gamepad input not working.

  • Am I strange, or when I compiled a game for this new version of the "desktop" build, .mp3 sounds work in the preview, but do NOT WORK in the NW.JS Windows 10 (32-bit) compiled version at all. Same project with .OGG sounds and music seems to work fine. Or am I doing something wrong?

  • Hmm.. trying to download the latest build and I get this:

    Error 522 Ray ID: 45f6d46f4af2b8b3 • 2018-09-24 17:04:38 UTC

    Connection timed out

Update: After a few hours, I was finally able to get it.

  • It seems like gamepad rumble is not working in the desktop version. Any information on that?

  • I not open C3 desktop build more than 7 day.

After i open it, i get this error.

  • For some reason i can import any c3addon except rex's collection of c3 addon's. They show up in the addon manager, but not in the insert object window or behavior list.

*Edit* Seems to hide them if you switch the runtime to C3 instead of C2. Going back to C2 runtime reveals them again. Strange.

  • justifun it should be. Rex addons will never work with runtime3

  • Hi Ashley.

Just wanted to ask if you could add "restart construct 3" buttons to dialogs that ask for it? In normal browsers this isn't necessary, since you can just reload the page but in NW.js, we're pretty much forced to restart the application as a whole.

NW.js has a built-in restart feature which you can execute by using (can be tested in the console):

    chrome.runtime.reload()

Would very much appreciate this feature in future releases, cheers!

  • Hello! My Question is - how to update (reload) animation frames? My project contains a lot of animations, and in Construct 2 after I load them at first time (Import frames from files) they linked to its source files automatically and then I need only select "Reload files from Original sources" to reload then, which was very handy! Now in Construct 3 I can't find how to quickly reload them from original sources :( After "Import frames from files" linking isn't happening and if I press "reload from original sources" its just stucks C3 for about 30 seconds and nothing is updated, and sometime it ends even with C3 crash... :(

  • Can we add restart construct 3 buttons to the dialog? That will really help us newbies

  • Updated links in original post with an update for Chromium 71.

    Thanks!

  • Ashley

Can't access the cloud saves with either of these latest updates (stable or beta).

Had to revert back to the previous release.
