Casino? money? who knows? but the target is the same!
  • In construct 2 we can make games in 2d in construct 3 we can make 3d games the contruct 3 will have support for 3d would be very good would be the best 3d graphic engine

  • No that's not the case, it's a 2D engine.

  • but webgl does support 3D graphics , so a plugin can fulfill the 3D part

is not that easy, there are sooooo much stuff than just adding a Z coordinate to an engine.

Scirra is looking to build the best 2d game maker at the moment, 3D is something we all asked once, sadly the answer is no.

  • There is an existing paid third party plugin that uses three.js to produce 3D exports that you can do with Construct 2 at the moment

Editor is still 2D so building complex environments would probably be tedious.

I assume C3 will work fine with that plugin, but they haven't released any information on how it reacts and stores the plugins, let alone the modularity/customization options beyond CSS theming.

Thank you she is already the best 2d engine there is nothing better lighter and faster and complete

Who knows 3d comes in contruct 4.

  • Why not just steal the ideas off firefly: http://store.steampowered.com/app/267655/

Haha nice. I understand how trying to make a 3D thing in a 2D engine would be a nice challenge of your skills but it seems redundant to me. Just use a 3D engine to make a nice 3D game, don't heavily modify a 2D engine to make a sloppy 3D game. Working backwards when you could just try and make a game in Unity or something. Not dismissing the fact that someone might want to do it as a challenge though, or portfolio piece.

Why not take the same approach to using cheat tools without scripting to make games at all? Learn c# for 2d.

C#? Don't be a noob. Assembly is the way to go.

Haha I went to uni with that guy. He's making Tanglewood.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Just make a three.js plugin

  • There already is a three.js plugin, albeit 3rd party:

The only "issue" is there is no 3D view in the editor, which is fine in my opinion as C2 isn't really a 3D game maker.

I do agree there should be more first party support with C3 compared to C2. I don't expect a first party plugin (which would be nice) but I do hope they allow the Editor UI to be modified and have editor plugins that can add in a new window/panel. This way at the very least users can not only make a 3D game via a plugin, they can better modify the game through an editor plugin made to display a 3D editor window/panel.

Hopefully the news we receive over the next few weeks about the new features will be good.

  • C3 is a web app, therefore what we are going to see are DOM elements, which means that the editor layout could be a canvas if we are lucky enough. Tbh this is the only groundbreaking feature that I'm looking forward to. Opens up a lot of possibilities.
