  • Spine does mesh deformation and the plugin that someone made for C2 works great!

  • These are both really cool tech indeed, will keep in mind for later

  • Update

    Set or add parameters

    Sample capx

Call "Action:Set value" or "Action:Add to" to set or add parameters of model manually. These actions might change current behavior of motion.

  • Update

    Upgrade api to sdk 2.1.

  • God bless you, rex...... you are my hero.

  • Hello, thank you for such an amazing plugin. But I encountered several problems:

    1. Everything works fine in play test. But once I export it out and upload it to my server, live2D model doesn't show up. Is there any specific settings to be done during the export?

    2. When I tested it via iphone 6 using LAN, there is some colour loss on the model. Is there any way to fix it?

    3. Is FPS an issue if I were to build my game entirely based on Live2D?

Your reply will be appreciated. Thank you.

    1. it is fine to upload app on server , see my demo on github.

Make sure the file path and file name of resources are correct, since C2 editor put all imported files into the root folder.

    2. sorry I have no idea about that

    3. Live2d is suitable for presenting characters.

    1. All the file need to be named in small letters. C2 will change every letters to small letter automatically so if there is any large letter name you'll get an error.

  • rexrainbow

How do I check whether the file path is correct? Sorry if it is a newbie question because I have tried to ensure all file path that I know of is correct. It is still not working.

    jomo

By naming, do you mean I have to rename all the filename in the folder into small letter?

This is the link to the game I uploaded on my server. goo.gl/FfQaSa

As you can see, everything is loaded except the Live2D model. I wonder what's wrong.

Here's the capx demo built using the demo provided by goo.gl/zmcnHP

I would really appreciate if both of you are kind enough to have a look at it and tell me what did I do wrong.

    Thank you very much!

Console log prints these error message

[quote:a71agl4s]XMLHttpRequest cannot load http://tips-pro.com/Live2Dtest/Ann.model.json. No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. Origin 'http://www.tips-pro.com' is therefore not allowed access. The response had HTTP status code 404

It seems that file "Ann.model.json" does not load correctly.

Sounds like the problem arises from the capital letter "A".

Hey it works now! Turns out, as jomo pointed out. The problem is due to the capital letters. So it is advisable to rename all into small letter before importing into Construct 2 correct?

Thank you guys very much for your time.

Here's another problem, I tried launching the game in mobile. It has super low FPS and uses up 95% of CPU power. Is there anyway to optimize the performane?

  • lynesslim

I could see the model in your link ( http://www.tips-pro.com/Live2Dtest3/ ) , but console.log still shown that some resource is not loaded like

[quote:dxbgnzn7]XMLHttpRequest cannot load http://tips-pro.com/Live2Dtest3/media/.ogg. No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. Origin 'http://www.tips-pro.com' is therefore not allowed access. The response had HTTP status code 404.

  • lynesslim

Yes, live2d will consume a lot of CPU utilization when playing animation, I did not find any solution to optimize it.

  • rexrainbow

Again I believe the error is due to wrong filename issue. It can be fixed by simply renaming the file. No worries. Thanks a lot for your help.

Yes it consumes 95% of CPU when I run it with my iPhone 6. Does that also mean that it is not suitable to be used to build mobile games?

Another problem that I face is this, there is an obvious colour loss when I run it on my iphone.

Apparently the colour is normal when I run it on an android. Any idea what causes this?
