Sprite fonts are kicking my butt. I have read the tutorials watched the videos and I am still not grasping the idea. Any pointers anyone has to move me in the right direction would garner praise.
This handy app should help you. If you have font that you can use for commercial use you just pull it into this and it output it as a image that you can load into your spritefont. And give the necessary information to punch in.
What do you want to do with sprite font?
Thanks for the input, looking at that tool now, sounds like what I need.

Haha I just recently ran into the same problem as you, (just a few days ago actually). I use the software that PheonixNightly recommended and also the SpriteFont+ plugin. It really makes things so much more easier cause you just need enter the json code into the section prepared and you are good to go, and it does have an additional function as well.
