Spawn random sprites with a spawner

Is there any way to make a spawn sprite randomly spawn other sprites.

Example spawner every x seconds spawns red sprite, blue sprite, green sprite randomly.

I know there is a way with animation frames but i was hoping to find a way with seperate sprites.

You could add an instance variable to the spawner, and every X seconds set the variable to a random number, so if it gets 1, use the Action spawner spawn Item1, If it gets 2, Spawn item2 etc. etc.

Thanks for the Capx but I seem to be having some trouble with it. It seems to miss sometimes and not spawn a box so it ends up being 4 second til the next one comes around. Anyone else experiencing this?
