slide in effect

I have a random sprite that appears then disappears at different intervals.

Right now they just pop into and out of view.

is there a way that I can give it a more sliding into view effect?

I'm thinking i could set up a invisible sprite and tell the other sprites to slide into view from the invisable sprite..

But i could just be thinking out my behind...

That should work fine, if you can define a starting point (x/y) and an ending point you can use some simple bullet behavior to get from one to the other. Have an overlap condition that stops them when they hit the target coordinates.

Give your object the platformer behaviour, set default controls to no. Use "set vector X(or Y)" to have the object move around smoothly, and tinker with its speed and all that.

I thought about platform behavior. Thanks for the input. I guess I am sort of understanding how all this works.
