how to retrieve a lost project file

    ERROR DOCUMENT EMPTY

    THE FILE MAY BE INVALID.TRY CHECKING THE FILE IN A TEXT EDITOR(projects are saved in XML format)

  • If it is lost, try searching the entire computer using the search function by entering the file name.

    If you've accidentally deleted it, there are ways to retrieve it, but it is quite technical, so you will have to research it and find the best method that you think is suitable.

  • search your hard drive .xml & .xml5 files, look for your project file name,

    you may get lucky.

  • miya : C2 normally backup and auto-saves files, try to search for a .backup or a .autosave somewhere

  • Aphrodite I do have the following files in the same folder:

    Newproject.capx.backup1

    Newproject.uistate

    but i cannot open it. the error message box will appear. :(

  • miya you can normally rename Newproject.capx.backup1 to Newproject.capx , then try to open it, maybe It'll work

    the .uistate is not needed for the project to work, so don't worry about this file

  • Aphrodite I tried that but it said Failed to load.capx

    unable to open <Newproject.capx> for unzipping

  • i think there are no other solution right? thank you for helping me .. I really appreciate it...its still have a problem to open the file..so i have to do it all over again. <img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> <img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle" />
