How to move an object around using touch gestures

Hi,

What is the easiest method to control a sprite around using touch screen?

I succeeded in sending the sprite to different parts of the screen, but what i want is to be able to move an object around freely when i'm touching it, and for it to stop when i lift off.

What about the drag and drop behavior?

As ArcadEd pointed out the Drag and drop behaviour will probably be better for you to use.

edit - capx if you want ?

I can't open that capx file. Get an error message that it was saved with version 1.6.1 or higer.

I was hoping to be able to flick the sprite around too, when you release the sprite using drag and drop it just drops straight down.

Brilliant! Now i just need to figure out how to make it bounce around and act according to gravity and not just stop as soon as i lift my finger off..
