Hey everyone,
I am currently working on my RPG game (Pokemon like) so any of you guys can recommend me best software that can help me to make sprites(pixel art) of the creatures that I want to be in the game ..
Thanks..
honestly, MS paint works pretty well for small pixel art. if not that, try photoshop, or GIMP, the free alternative to it.
try piskel its not only a sprite maker but you could animate with it since it support onion tween.
there also spriter pro if you want some dynamic bone workin
Paint.net also works. It's free and is often touted as a program on the level of complexity between MS Paint and Photoshop. It's a bit simpler than GIMP but has Photoshop features like layers.
Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

I prefer GraphicsGale and Photoshop for pixel art. GraphicsGale has a free and paid version. The paid version is worth due to the nice animation tools but the interface feels a little weird overall. It's a really good program but there might be better stuff out there for free. Not everyone has access to Photoshop. Krita is supposed to be an amazing open source alternative though I haven't fully played with it.
I have visited many forums and most of them are recommending paint.net with help of its plugins and very much thanks for all for your replies..
I like Cosmigo´s Pro Motion (http://www.cosmigo.com/promotion/index.php), with which you also can animate, create tile maps etc.
It´s not free though (but well worth the money in my opinion).
As for the spriting itself there seem to be some nice tutorials on the pokemon community site:

Godd luck!
