How do I load my license

I cant load my license in r180 the new version, it said file corrupt. Then i install back to r178 and my license work perfectly. Is there something wrong with my license or there something else.

p.s i bought my CS2 off of steam

sorry, because if you use a cracked product your license will corrupt when you update your C2.

That is an offence weather it's in your country or any other country.

A steam version doesn't use a license. It is authenticated by steam itself. Only a stand-alone version bought from this site would have a license file.

So if you have a licensed steam version, you can't just overwrite with the version downloaded from here - you would need to opt-in to the betas through steam.

Steam users don't automatically get a medal - they have to email scirra with their steam details in order for Tom to add it.

Steam users don't automatically get a medal it's true but, Steam has right to protect the customer. That's why I do not use steam. I have some issue with them in past so, I left them and never looked back. Steam thinks those people whom use them must be mugs. Well I am not mugs or loony
