Help WATER random effect

how did this guy make random water effect like this?

he made this with Construct 2.

It's look awesome.

Hope anyone can make tutorial how to make this Water Effect.

Sprite animations

do you have a reference about how to make it.

Because, I can see if stone/rock touch the water, it will make random animation.

Looking at it closely , I am pretty certain that for the water object

he has used animations

here Ive made a quick demo cap x for you using particles instead

just play around with it to get it looking more realistic

You can make the surface with an animation, the bump animation should be triggered with events, nothing behind scenes, nothing draw in runtime, it's all made using sprite animations...

If you want something more elaborated, like surface tension, you should use a plugin or by placing numerous sprite animations on the surface, like this: https://app.box.com/s/6dd3xqw2rklv3ce3tllf
