I know only about the cranberry's google analytics plugin that is cordova based but I'd like to use this solution for web based games.

If you want basic tracking, just add your Google Tracking code to the index.html file exported by Construct2.

Thats what I do. But it will only give info about number of visitors and location/referrer.

Does the Analytics Plugin not work on normal web version of a game? I wanted to try it for my next project.

hey Bl4ckSh33p, I have't been able to get any of the GA plugins to work successfully, but if they operate like the mobile ad plugins, they probably won't. If you want to track more than just views, visitors, referrers, etc... and want to track events, you could try using the Browser > Execute JavaScript function to call a manual GA Event Tracking.
