there are still problems with getting "Landscape" display on Web Simulator...

Hey everyone,

Was looking for a bit of advice regarding Tizen builds!

I've added the changes Ashley suggested (e.g. Browsers 'On back button' & 'Lock orientation') to our apps. But seeing some of your comments, has made me doubt whether these actually work!

We're using Win 8 machine, and haven't had any luck installing the Tizen SDK yet, so we've been unable to test!

We know they run pretty well on other platforms, so performance is not too much of an issue! But its important for us to make sure the additions we've made will work, and the apps look right, before submitting to appBackr!

Can anyone confirm these additions work, Tobye, thehen, szymek, sosensible?

On back button - works OK on Web Simulator (from Tizen IDE)

Landscape - don't work even with 'Landscape' in config.xml and 'Lock orientation' in C2

When I saw the tutorial "Create WGT File", I was really pleased, as it made everything seem so easy!

It will be a real shame if we all miss out on the chance to enter the Tizen competition, because of this 1 problem :(

But the deadline is fast approaching, so I really hope they can come up with some further advice soon!

I doubt if you can somehow "sign" (certify, like in Tizen IDE) Tizen project exported from Construct 2 without using Tizen IDE. Anyway: Tizen exporter was anounced in may 2013, so 5 months ago. And now, 5 months later, we had to fight for any informations (thanks Joannesalfa sosensible for tutorials, thehen for checking WGT on real device) and still fighting with "Landscape" issue. Is it some bad dream?

cant confirm the landscape works I coudnt get it to but if you veiw my new tut it can get you past the back button issue

Just did some tests and this seems to be an issue with the web simulator. Everything works fine for me on hardware and in the emulator.

thehen you make "lock orientation: ladscape" action and set "landscape" in config.xml ? If yes - I think we all just have to do this steps and probably it must work fine.

how do you use the emulater

This should help: Getting Started with Tizen > Development Environment > Tizen SDK > Emulator

I think I have found solution for Web Simulator Landscape issue.

1. Go to index.html exported from Construct 2 (HTML5 or Tizen export)

2. Find line

<meta name="viewport" content="initial-scale=1.0, maximum-scale=1.0, minimum-scale=1.0, user-scalable=no, target-densitydpi=device-dpi" />

and update it:
