Question about .exe

it's matter of time to wait performance improvement for HTML5.

One thing to keep in mind is that HTML 5 performance increases would be counterproductive for Apple, and put a tiny dent in their profits - if the app store had to compete with things available on the web... I don't think apple has much motivation to improve HTML5, nor does MS if they hope to emulate the App store. Its pretty much up to Chrome, Firefox and Opera to push it...

gazoogle - Don't be so sure - iOS 5 has a 2000% speed increase for HTML5 over iOS4. Also there is directcanvas and cocoonJS in the works to dramatically improve performance for apps.

Apple, iOS and Microsoft aren't really involved when it comes to an EXE wrapper... we just need to take Firefox's or Chrome's browsing engine and bundle it in to an EXE! WebGL performance is pretty close to native in both performance and features, so that should do it.

I believe canvas is much older than that. Apple copied the idea and adapted it for the web environment.
