Newgrounds.com Construct 2 gamejam

Puni this thread is specifically for the NewGrounds game jam. Not the Microsoft app store. Is this an app that you also entered in the NewGrounds Game Jam?

I've been speaking with Tom about optimizing HTML5 games on NG, in particular, disabling the spacebar on the webpage so people who don't click in the game area don't accidentally scroll down.

Excal Congrats! By the disabling space bar do you mean using the keyboard object and capturing the spacebar key press and just not doing anything with it?

I mean disabling the spacebar on the webpage itself. It should still be fine in-game because the game 'app' is treated separately from the rest of the page (or I think it is). Kind of like what the Scirra arcade does, pressing spacebar doesn't scroll you down the page.

Right now I have to click somewhere in my game to not have the spacebar scroll me down the page.

How to make a loading progress like this? i'm only able to set up the default loading option of C2...

loadingprogress < 1, set sprite.width to sprite.width * loadingprogress

loadingprogress = 1, destroy sprite.width, set text visible, set text to "Press anything to continue"

Basically like that.
