Total customisation of the input! You can combine inputs from all peripherals. Make your game accessible for everyone!
  • Does it work with other gamepad different than the X360 controller? I have a generic PC joystick and its not working =S

Can i have a list of the suported gamepads?

  • What version of Construct are you using? What did you run game in?

I used a generic USB Buffalo SNES gamepad, and it works fine in the latest version of Construct with both Nodewebkit and Chrome. And this gamepad did not work when I tested it earlier this year, so therefore the support should be much greater now if its supporting mine.

Im using the last version. Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit, maybe i need to update the drivers or something?

  • Oh! My Logitech Rumble Pad 2 actually works now

  • This is my Joystick

Model Sj-702. Its a shitty generic joystick, i think thats why... =S

  • Except button index 0 and button A are kinda broken. Is someone else having similar problems? I'm using r174-64bit.

  • Were you just pressing directions? I think for gamepads to be recognized you have to first press a button (can't remember if it's a specific one) and then the rest of the controller will work.

  • FWIW there is no single list of supported gamepads - it's whatever both the OS recognises (which it should if it has the right driver), and the browser also recognises (which hopefully it does if the OS recognises it, but they might maintain whitelists/blacklists depending on the browser). So it likely varies from system to system and also depends on the browser.

    Ok thanks Ashley

  • If your gamepad isn't recognized, you can use x360ce to make it appear as an Xbox360 controller to the game: https://code.google.com/p/x360ce/

You basically just copy the x360ce exe and dll's it produces into the same folder as node-webkit, and in my testing it worked well for playing with a PlayStation 2 arcade stick converted to USB <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy">

You mean the folder in the plugins folder or the folder where i have the C2 project. Or do i have to first export the game with Nodewebkit?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Export with NodeWebkit

  • Hello everyone,

I'd like to inquire about an issue that I have experienced in regards to the Gamepad plugin as of late.

I cannot exactly recall when this started to be an issue, but at least a few C2-builds ago.

As of now, when running either a preview or an export of a game (I've tried different ones), my wireless xbox 360 controllers only work if they're connected before I even run a game. To clarify, before this issue surfaced, I could run a game without having any gamepad connected, connect one or several gamepads and press any button for them to work, however, now I cannot...

    Has anyone else experienced this?

Edit: And right after writing this it seems to work in chrome once again, but not with node-webkit.

Haven't checked but my only issue with 360 wired pad is that i need to press any button first in order for sticks to work.
