Since stencyl is more close to scripting how does construct work is there a if,when, variables to do more advanced things or does construct go so far?
Take a look at the beginner tutorials. All of these questions are answered there.
Until the user learns to use Construct2 and possibly reads through the manual, C2's main limitation is the user himself.
How events work is one of the most valuable reads.
The beginner's guide is also quite critical.
C2 main limitation is 100% dependency on browser vendors,
who not really care about HTML5 games
The best example is Chromium and it's bugs,
that affect both desktop export (NW) and mobile export (Crosswalk)
Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.
Actually, it's exact the opposite: it looks like that Stencyl offers more flexiblity when it comes to "coding", but at the end, you are limited to the blocks delivered with Stencyl (or extensions). C2 Events, Actions and - more important - Object-Expressions over way more options Stencyl gives. Look just at the math or Scene properties and such.
lol thanks started reading begginner guides
I liked them. If you're moving from Stencyl, you might miss the scene editor and (self written) Actor- and Screen-Bahviors, so you have to change your way of developing the code. But the expressions for example, are awesome in C2.
