Mac Launch Error.

Just wanted to throw in that I also noticed Mac export didn't work for Insanity's Blade: causalbitgames.com/demos/IB.app.zip

Wasn't able to run the app after extracting from the folder, but then I looked in the contents of the app and ran the node-webkit file in MacOS and it worked.

Jayjay I think I found a solution to the problem - at least for us. I had a "'" in the title that may have been throwing it off. But also I seemed to remember reading somewhere that .app has to be in the application folder of the mac.

So I fixed both of those problems and it started up without a hitch.

— - please provide a .capx. I exported Space Blaster with node-webkit and ran it on Mavericks and it ran OK.

I also noticed nodewebkit app export problems. OS X 10.8.5.

You confirmed that capx did work for you already, though. I tried running the exported app on my wifes older laptop which is still OSX Lion I believe, and it works fine.. the apps just wont run on my main computer (in Mavericks).. very weird.

I did some googling as I'm still having issues with launching, only on my computer.

I found this on Github when searching for the error I get in my console log:

Job failed to exec(3) for weird reason: 13

I tried setting the permissions to full read/write on the app file but it still wouldnt open, and still gave the same error... Maybe some more clues, I dont know.. Thanks!

Woah, when i show package contents, it's empty... is this telling?

Permission was denied when even viewing the folder. I actually ran chmod recursively on the entire app folder via sudo and it worked:

just ran: chmod -R 0755 appname.app in terminal and the app now runs.

It must be getting bunged up permissions coming from Parallels Desktop 6 or something? Which is weird because it does work on my wifes laptop without running that permissions fix..

I guess some systems are configured differently. I know that on Linux you always have to enable execute permission on the executable file to allow it to run at all, perhaps some Mac systems are configured to require the same. So I suppose this can be put down to a permissions issue? I think C2 and node-webkit are working correctly, but you might need to create an installer or do some config to allow the system to run it.

I too had a problem launching my Construct OSX Export. The above mentioned chmod -R 0755 appname.app fixed it for me.

Thought I should report it.
