  • Luckily I wasnt planning to

  • The removal of deprecated export options has no bearing on the support for the rest of Construct 2.

    Oh awesome, thanks Ashley

  • To add, i will buy construct 3 but I want to finish my RPG in construct 2 first

  • Hello,

A recent update removed some of the smaller and less used export services and kept the used things like Kongregate and Cordova, but now I worry that construct 2 will be shut down. I could be farfetched but I was wondering if anyone had news or thoughts about this.

  • Can I ask you if you ever got this msg when uploading the APK file:

"Your app currently targets API level 14 and must target at least API level 26"

Early today I uploaded a file fine, then made one tiny change, and the got the above message. I can't figure out what to do now.

Nevermind, I put the config file in the www directory and it worked. I did this before and forgot to do it with the new file.

Hey, are you still having this problem?

  • It works! I tested it without Internet on till I got to the button to buy, and it still works!

With google play, you need to set up a Consume product ID. I did it with a button that on click Consume product ID. I also set up a text box that said DING (yes, ding in all caps) to made sure it worked. I had it so on Consume Product ID success, set text box with DING to visible (the box invisible to start with.)

To make sure it worked, i temporarily set on purchase ID succeed to set text box to visible It worked multiple times. I would do a test buy, click to consume product. After I did that, I was able to buy the product ID in a test purchase.

Google play doesn't let developers cancel test purchases from the dev. console. So i set up a Consume Product so i could keep testing it.

Mind if I could get a screenshot or CAPX so I can add IAP to my game? I want to make sure Im not making any mistakes

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Ill give you some tips that is helping me get better and get my "company" grow a bit

-keep it simple, dont spend a few months on a game, work your way up. The mobile game im making took about 2 weeks to make and Im happy with it

-Make a checklist to what you want to get done

-Make a publishing plan, the more places you publish, the more people will see your game. I publish to Newgrounds, Kongregate, Google Play store, scirra (Itch.io and Gamejolt maybe)

-Maybe watch a movie, play some music or watch youtube while you work on your game, i do it and it helps me

-Checkout everything you can do in Construct 2, there are some things i didnt know you could do in it

-Listen to a motivational song or that one song that gives you goosebumps and make a game based of the feeling you have when you listen to your song

  • oh cool

  • I'm looking to use free textures and sounds, as I don't have the capability to create them at the very least even passable for use in a game.

You don't need to have beefy graphics for a game to be passable. You can make it very simple and still make it work. Im not that good at design so my "thing" is to keep things simple enough and have the concept be the strength. Graphics wont make your game good, its the idea :).

Again, my games are simple in graphics but thats fine to me and people like that (the ones that play them). You can keep it simple and make great things :D.
