  • Hello,

    I've made a 4x4 tic-tac-toe for 3 players (X, Circle and Triangle) with a different rule:

    -X can form a line with X and Circle;

    -Circle can form a line with Circle and Triangle;

    -Triangle can form a line with Triangle and X.

    Ideally, it should be a multiplayer online game. it would be easier to find people to play and no mouse sharing problem, but I have no idea how to make it online, I don't even know if scirra arcade support multiplayer games.

    If you have any feedback, positive or negative, it's very welcome.

    Thank You.

  • Hahahaha! Yaeh men - that's cool!

    Idea: change the sprites textures depending on the 'dose' of the buddy. Probably add the water effect on some elements (moon, green fluid, ...)?

    And maybe reduce the 'overdose level' with time passing?

    or

    Change the controls when using hard drugs(lol)

    Thank you for the feedback.

    • Add effects based on overall "Overdose" level sounds interesting;
    • The overdose level used to reduce over time but we decided to leave it permanent and add a cure (hospital serum) to the game, but we'll keep that in mind;
    • Boss effect invert character controls;
    • There is a hidden place in game where NO turn into a YES.

  • UPDATE #2: We've added sound, remade boss behavior and added 2 "secret places".

    UPDATE #1 : We've added some artwork and animations, level design was changed aswell.

    In short: It's a platform game that "simulates" drug effects whenever you touch enemies.

    Explaining the game

    Hello, we are doing a school project where we were asked to make a game that "solves a problem" and the chosen problem was "The use of Ilicit Drugs". In a metaphorical way we want to show that when you have an objective in your life (finish the game level) you will have unavoidable hard times (platforms) but also avoidable hard times (drugs). You can avoid the drugs by simply dodging them or shouting "NO's" at them to push them away. If you touch them you will receive a debuff (related to the specific drug) that is supposed to hold you back (even the accelerating effects) preventing you from reaching your goal.

    High Concept: Overdose is a platform game where the player must, before the time runs out, get through a level with platforms that move horizontally/vertically, break when touched and/or change position. In addition there are 3 types of enemies, shown as drugs, that simulate a corresponding drug effect when "consumed" (touched) and also increase your overdose level. Marijuana slows down, cocaine speeds up and LSD causes a screen distortion. The player can push enemies away shouting "NO's" at them. At the end of the level, in order to win the game, you must destroy a giant mushroom who has the power to invert your controls. Game is lost when the player leaves the layout, when time runs out or when overdose bar gets full.

    Feedback (positive or negative) and ideas are welcome.

  • I'm using "7Zip". With http://www.ezyzip.com/ the load bar doesn't even start lol.

    It's weird, I've just made another game (just a small one to test) and it works, but the game I want to upload is not working. What could be causing this?

  • Yes. I've used the "export to... Kongregate " in construct 2. Then, in kongregate upload screen, I've uploaded the index.html to game file and everything else I've zipped and uploaded as "additional files"

  • I've already uploaded the game to scirra arcade and it works fine, but when I upload it to kongregate it get stuck on loading screen. That "yellow progress bar" turns into a red bar at some point then it gets complete but the loading screen never goes away.
