  • Art is comin together!

  • Definitely! No problem at all and thanks for the compliments. Best of luck with your game. Lets hope you make enough that you can make it your full time job!

That would be the dream! I'm currently a software engineer major in college

  • Hi tallenwebdev,

It seems like everyone is suggesting hiding old ver. of your game and uploading a new ver. As the creator of Bio-Gun I wanted to point out that I kept updating the same game ver. insteading uploading a whole new game and hiding the old. You wont believe how many times people will come back to your game to see how your game is doing and if it has been updated. My advise it to be as responsive as you can in your comment section and to make sure to upload a new ver. at least once or twice a week.

    As to your original question.

Make sure when you post your games on any forum including scirra arcade you have a very solid first build. 90% bug free, polished, and attention to small details. People who play your game will feel respected and will come back to it more often.

-Best of luck to you and your future endeavors tallenwebdev!

Thank you very much for your feedback and kind words! I think I am going to re-upload a new version when the game is ready, but it's because the game has come so far from the current arcade version. Also since the game has now become a much bigger project that I down the road intend to monetize, I want to start clean with a demo on the Scirra Arcade. Plus my first versions (and the current arcade version) aren't near as polished as your game! Which is why I want a fresh start too.

    Again thank you!

  • Do a for each loop then assign each instance a unique variable name.

Then assign a different find path action for each instance.

    Eg. Sprite 1 go-to target 1. Etc

    Thank you!

  • I have multiple instances of a sprite and I want each instance to follow certain paths. The sprite is part of a family and already knows what to do once path is found, but I want each instance to go to different predetermined locations. Thanks in advance

  • Looks very interesting. I like the pixel art!

  • Escape is possible is not just a shooter, while it's story is not yet developed.. I can tell you that there are going to be survival mechanics and a number of "open world" features..

Here's a little concept piece for you guys

  • -Create Door sprite

    -Create Hinge sprite

    -Put Physics behavior on BOTH

    -Set Hinge to IMMOVABLE.

-Set Door origin to either side, just not the middle.

    -Set Door position to Hinge

-Create [Limited] Revolute Joint. It can be found on actions under Physics.

    Thank you!

  • Looks interesting!

  • Try Construct 3

  • I've yet to use physics in any games and I am trying to implement a hinged door that opens as a player walks through it. I know I could accomplish this in other ways, but I wanted to try implementing physics. Thanks in advance for any help

  • Want to provide an update. My most recent accomplishment was taking the game from standard definition to full HD. I also did a lot of clean up with the games event sheets and unused objects. Now I am working on some custom camera movement, including zoom levels changing when the player enters buildings. Also I'm working on the transitioning to shared family behaviors for enemies.

Mean while, I have an artist working on some static objects for the game. After he completes those I will have him do some nice ground and floor textures.
