  • its just math. if something moves 1920 pixels in one seconds, and the screen refreshes 60 times per second, then it will "jump" 1920/60 = 32 pixels every time the screen draw a new frame.

    just for the fun of it. try to make the plants go really slow and see if you see any jankyness still

  • You state that the things in the foreground move janky? but the things in the background moves smooth(er)?

    If your viewport is 1920p wide, and the objects are moving from right to left in one second (which it seems like the plants in the foreground do approx, and our cactus example), then they will be moved with 30-40pixels every tick, at 60fps. so they will not move smooth. If your viewport is even bigger the "jumps" will be even longer.

    But maybe you refer to something else.. :)

  • Admob only works while exported, so it only works when you have the app on your phone or on the simulator. It will never ever work in preview, and is not supposed to work on preview.

  • maybe i'm just too stupid but i just can't get the rewarded ad to run

    test mode is on

    i load the ad on the start page

    System > on start of layout > MobileAds > Create rewarded advent "ca-app-pub-XXX/XXX" > show: false

    the ad should be displayed on the game page when the player presses a button

    Touch > on tap gestrue on ButtonAd > MobileAds > show rewarded advert

    somehow can't upload any pictures... for whatever reason

    Do you know ow to use logcat in Android Studio? See the logs if so.

    Otherwise, try to catch the error if you get ay, in the construct plugin.

  • You need to load/create it on the game layout

    Admob has no idea about your layouts, thats an internal construct thing. Admob is not even in the same activity.

  • The same Simulate control exist in several movement behaviors. Like Car, Platform, 8-direction etc. So it depends on which behavior you want for your sprite. In this case probably the Platform.

  • If you guys set your app to target children and then later change the ads to "MATURE or TEENS" you are clearly violating the rules, and you might be permanently banned. And maybe that is for the best.
