  • The movement is done via the 8-direction behaviour.

The perspective is simply, well - graphical perspective, there's no real trick, just draw your lines at angle; 35 seems a safe bet.

  • In my eyes modularity will solve many of the complications/time-sinks that come with "big games" - need an inventory? Chuck in Constructor84's deluxe RPG inventory system!

Couple this with the possibility of peer review and asset growth (Community wide platformer module?) and an asset store that kicks 20% to Scirra, that's exciting.

  • I genuinely want to see the game... Just a screenshot of it will satiate my curiosity...

  • I have nothing to offer this thread - I just wanted to say that I think Zatyka's bang on the money (Pardon the pun) with his idea about trading help instead of money (Y)

  • phpBB? Hell yeah!

  • Small update on my performance, bit of a PICNIC!

My graphics driver was out of date - updating it locks me at 60

  • Solid 48 frames in Chrome for me - the awkward thing is that I'm running an Alienware laptop, and regardless of value for the money, Alienware doesn't skimp on power; so 48 FPS on effectively Flappy Birds is worrying when it runs Crysis at a steady 35.

I'll have a look at your cap later, though from debugger figures you've posted I can't see how it could get faster

  • My jaw hit the desk when I saw variable animation blending - bravo BrashMonkey!

  • just a heads up. ridiculously exciting announcements coming soon

    *Assumes brace position*

  • Don't spawn the item, use the pin expression to attach it to an image point

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Unsure if it's still $25, but at that price it's an absolute steal - Spriter is the most powerful skeletal animation program I've ever seen; Pivot, Flash CS3/4/5's IK, Poser and Spine don't even come close to the level of quality and absurd price point of it.

  • Interesting rigging; certainly possible but personally I'd find using bezier surface deformation more practical.

Cannot wait for the plugin to be full featured; Spriter is performing incredibly well against the more expensive (And very similar) Spine.
