Same here in preview mode on 2 different computers with the same setup.

    Win7

    R220 and NW.js 0.13.0 beta 2.

Strangely, no issue on the exported version.

  • TEASING :

  • Solo doing Dungeon Master during a jam : christina you're fantastic!

  • Eisenhans I've just tried the CTRL+W on my old builds to check. It doesn't close the game. So I guess something has changed in the last NW.

  • I know that Aurel worked with Full HD assets on a 720p project, in low quality fullscreen. (The Next Penelope)

It seems it worked pretty well.

  • After playing around with the kit, I can say it's an amazing basis brick for a metroidvania or any 'adventure' platform game.

Furthermore, the code is very organized, commented and clear. Very easy to dig in and change things.

It really worth its price. So much time saved. (specially with the room/objects manager)

  • Congrats to the team!

  • CHAMPAGNE!

  • Ok, after tweeking a little (thanx to ErekT 's help), I finally got something working pretty well in low quality fullscreen. and you know what? I Love that shader!!! <3

Medusa with the effect. (even better while playing):

  • Very cool effect! Work pretty well.

Unfortunately, as every shader in C2, the rendering pass is made before the upscale. So if you use Low quality fullscreen scaling, the visual result will be affected.

(Why using the low quality? Because when you do a retro game in low res, the fullscreen high quality upscale is very very very greedy. Using the low quality is visually very close, and sooo much faster, as long as you don't play too much with shaders. )

Of course it's not your fault. It's related to the C2 rendering process. And it won't change.

  • jeebroniz I had the same concern about that package file that can be easily extracted by anyone.

I found a simple solution in another thread :

    https://www.scirra.com/forum/how-do-i-avoid-have-a-package-nw-file-on-distribution_t118694

    Frozenen proposes this:

"just merge the .exe and package. Open a CMD prompt:

    copy /b yourgame.exe+package.nw newname.exe

be sure to put .exe first then package."

It's simple and it works. That's enough for me to avoid any 'noob' to unzip my assets.

Of course, if someone really wants to steal your assets, there's nothing you can do.
