  • Hello,

    I'm doing a little test where I want simulate a repulsion, like a snooker ball shocking with another ball, and/or, a spaceship shocking with a hard spaceship.

    The principle is simple, but I can't figure out the math, so, someone can help me, please?

    I think this is something known by Mr. Yann or a Guru of the Math =P

    My last try was to compare the center position of the hit ball and the center position of the ball in movement, when one overlap the other ball, they will split the energy.

    But how we can change their direction to the right direction? using cos and sen?

    Another question, in case of a sprite with squared collision box, how it work?

  • I would like to suggest this feature:

    • Animation name selectable;

    Expected Result:

    • When on the event page, while creating a new action to set/change/reset an animation, you're able to select the instance and the name of the animation on a contest menu or write the name by yourself;

    How it work now:

    • You need to write the name inside the commas, and sometimes it's not productive;

    Things to avoid:

    • It's very important to keep the "write the name" system too, because sometimes is necessary to make complex formulation inside the text field instead of selecting an animation name, like when you want auto increase a name with a sequential number: "animation" & instance.variable.

    Also, if you run the page on the chrome with the stealth/anonymous option active, the game never start.

  • I'm starting a brand new fan game, in Tribute to my Heroes, they are the creators of Tyrian and Raptor, two old games what made part of my youth.

    This is a very first alpha prototype, and I'm using an original spaceship, scenario and bullet for the player, and Tyrian open source resources for the enemies and explosions.

    Did you know, Tyrian now is a freeware game? the game opened his source and all his spritesheets after completing 1 million dollar, in 2004, where the developers spread the news! =]

  • I would like to share an aware of some people here and it include myself.

    To improve the participation, we have earned the right to play with the reputation, and we have used it as hobby to earn points for helping someone else.

    But, I'm watching everyday more people with huge amount of Rep and never posted any single topic, any tutorial and ahead.

    Like this guy: scirra.com/users/kemosabe with 10k of Rep and 0 posts, 0 games, 0 tutorials..

    So, We could ask, why it's happening? This guy, who never posted, never contributed, can have the access to edit tutorials and other guys, who is frequently participating here can't, for example (I don't know if it's still valid, because I can't, lol).

    Any update is programmed to repair the rep system?

    We could have two type of installers too, one full and one update for everyone who already have a full install, always we have new implementations that is necessary to update the full pack, it could be full, but if is a beta without any huge change, it could be smaller.

  • Outstand artwork, nice concept and great job man.

    I can't play it for more than 30 sec, because I got maritime nausea, but I loved the game.
