  • I think if we had to choose between App Store and Android I'd say Construct would rule on Android, simply because there's less competition on Android and 90% of the games are super bad, as opposed to the iphone which has quite a high amount of good games, so I think if you bring out a decent game on Android especially one that looks nice then you're gonna have a bigger voice than you would releasing the same game on the iPhone.

  • Guess it depends on how you're saving it. Is there a possibility that its taking more than a tick to save everything?

    I have no idea, how could I tell?

  • Strange thing going on, set up a save room, so when player collides with an object the system saves to file. When I then close and go to the menu and press load, I'm in the correct location but the bones of my character have messed up they're not in the correct positions and it looks crazy. Has anyone run in to this problem before?

  • I'm still trying to figure that out myself really - I have noticed I'm getting a lot of glitches when I 'autoplay file' when my character spawns a bullet every 6 ticks, the gunshots just don't load in fast enough so some cut out. I also have no clear idea of how to fade channels or music out generally or when transitioning between layers.

    At the moment I'm using a new XAudio 2 object for every layout and just repeating the code but changing the object - when I was loading it all from one event sheet I was running into 'black' screens, black screens I get quite a lot while working in Construct, what is that - a memory thing~?

    Little side-project game I'm working on Agilis - levels are generally more interesting than this one but I like the feel of it. All art and audio is very much work in progress and subject to much change.

  • Here everyone can post artwork they are willing to release to the community for use in games. Not everyone can draw, so I'm sure there will be some grateful code monkeys out there who can get some nice artwork for free.

    This can include static images, animation sheets, animated characters already in a .cap, bone rigged characters, etc, etc. Anything that might be useful that you don't mind letting everyone use unconditionally. If you want to post free for non-commercial use only, that's also fine but please make sure it it clearly stated.

    That is an excellent idea, though I'm a terrible artist. I'm thinking of making a light sound library for Construct users, how do people feel about that would you find it useful having a set of jumps, footsteps, shots, engines etc place-holder sounds you can use that isn't retro sounding?
