    My turn to make a few suggestions to the already implemented features! <img src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    I just released a game made in C2 and along its development I ran into a few annoyances. Here's my suggestions:

    1- Hand Cursor: Is there a way for me to change the cursor to that familiar link-clicking hand? If not, that should be an option when I hover the mouse over some object... Don't know what could be the best way to do it (behavior? system option?)

    2- Image editor coordinates: I would love to see the coordinates when moving the hotspot or the collision polygon vertices around. In addition, being able to type them would be PERFECT.

    I just published a game I made to test C2.

    We made an iPhone game and recently we were nominated for a brazilian game award, and I was so excited about this I decided to make a small game. The rest of the team loved it and helped me finish it. We even added a small banner to promote our iPhone game :P

    Just ran a small game I made test C2 and the results on iOS5 were impressive. It ran really well, over 30 FPS for sure.

    But my game was intended to be light, so I added a few more objects and made the biggest sprites rotate with every tick. There were no significant changes in the framerate, although we made a garbage collector to help improve the performance and seconds before running it we had some slow down.

    I didn't test sounds on this game. Nor the recent physics.

    I am very impressed by the results, now we just have to wait for these improvements to go live. :D

  • We're waiting for iOS 5, which has a hardware accelerated canvas and should be much faster!

    I have an iPod with iOS5 beta at work, I can post my results there on monday :D

  • Damn, I just wrote a big post explaining my tests on the iPhone, but I timedout and lost it <img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> <img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> <img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    Short version:

    Performance isn't good on an iPhone 4.

    I had an animated sprite rotating 1 degree every tick. With each tap, I added one of these.

    By the 15th sprite, the FPS started dropping. With 30 sprites, it ran about 10 FPS.

    For action games it's unnaceptable, but for simple, turn/text games it should be fine. <img src="smileys/smiley9.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    Please post your thoughts and experiments using PhoneGap. There's been lots of talk about it, but no feedback!

    I want to try it, but still haven't found time to do it :)

  • This is so great, I'm gonna try that out later.

    Will it hit hard on the performance? Considering it will be a part of the HUD and will not move/rotate/scale...
