New site will allow attachments in various places (forum, possibly even comments etc).
Early on we snapped up Construct3.com, but since then we've decided to host everything on Construct.net. Construct3.com will redirect to Construct.net from Tuesday
Construct3.com and Scirra.com are hosted in the USA with a private dedicated server company. Construct.net is run on Azure and managed by Rackspace.
Just FYI we're going to be running an official game jam during the beta, but it will be during the last week of the beta so shouldn't overlap. Just thought I'd give you the heads up!
Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.
I think the OP clearly illustrates why we probably wouldn't want to offer our own cloud service.
Yes, we'll have an announcement some time at the end of this week/early next week. We're looking at doing a week-long game jam at the end of the beta period with a partner, where we will make all features available free of charge for the duration.
What a lot of people forget, is that we chose not to tease too early because it puts our revenue at risk. If we teased 6 months ahead of time and sales dried up as everyone waited for C3, we'd be screwed. We decided to take the more risk averse route.
Don't worry no-one is going to bite your head off here I'm just going to move this to a different forum though as this is Construct 3 specific.
All good suggestions, have been noted.
Hah, glad it got you back into it! Was fun doing that
I think most of that list is reasoned fairly, and unlike other criticisms you've given reasoning as well which is much appreciated. If we did it again, I think I'd agree with you on most of those points.
What specifically do you find unprofessional and childish about how we've approached the marketing?
Calling our marketing childish is a new one, not heard that yet!
Anyway, regarding features and what's new, the new website will have a comprehensive list. This should be available in time for the public beta by the months end.
