  • I've amended R0j0hound's wonderful qarp example here from the following thread: https://www.scirra.com/forum/how-do-i-make-parabolic-projectile-and-movement_t103232.

Is this something like what you're after?

You can drag and drop the red 'X' then aim the ball anywhere and it will curve towards the 'X'.

Attached requires C2 r173 or greater.

  • If you post a .capx showing just the issue, then we can verify or not whether this is an actual issue, or a problem in the events somewhere.

  • Probably why Ashley has deprecated this option in the latest build - https://www.scirra.com/construct2/releases/r174

[quote:1dy4zppu]Intel AGI export is now deprecated and no longer supported or maintained. We recommend exporting with Ejecta on iOS (and PhoneGap from iOS 8+) and Crosswalk for Android.

  • Can you recreate in a new, small .capx that the rest of us could also test?

That way, we could verify or not whether there is an actual bug.

  • Surely, if we [quote:1n0swwcv]can assume i have the business license

then you would have fully researched C2, it's engine mechanics, export options and any possible pitfalls. If you haven't, the you really should.

Also, asking others to search out examples for you is just lazy. Just look through the 'Construct Creations' section, and you will see many games that are already published.

  • In Preferences, you can choose from different themes, or create your own.

  • The attached - a quick conversion from GMS - shows random bouncing off walls.

    Is this of any use?

  • Just use else - see attached.

    Is this what you mean?

  • Best advice for any new software is read the manual in conjunction with doing a few tutorials such as Ashley's excellent platformer tutorial (see Tutorial section above).

After that, start small and prototype any ideas you may have. If you get stuck, post in the 'How Do I' section and you'll get a (hopefully) useful response.

    Good luck and welcome

  • Just want to double check - was it the R0j0hound example you tested?

There was a slight fix for that, which I've attached. As far as I can see, this has smooth movement.

  • Sometimes an exact example is not available, but there is sometimes something similar that can be understand and adapted for one's purpose. That's part of the fun

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Tetriser

It doesn't crash for me using r174 64 bit.

Your instructions could possibly do with including more detail, i.e. what does the step 'Do something else' actually entail?

Does this happen with every project?

  • I can't help with your problem, but may I suggest you test using the latest stable release at the very least, as any bugs in r169 may have subsequently been already fixed.

The download link is directly above your post!

blackhornet attached it to the thread so it will always be available.

  • If you search for 'bubble shooter' you'll find quite a few threads dealing with this type of game mechanic. One or 2 may even have an example .capx that may point you in the right direction or give you a few pointers, but I wouldn't consider this an easy game mechanic to fully grasp.
