    Crimson Games IO

    Play, publish and integrate leaderboards in your Construct 3 Games.

    Crimson Games IO, is a new website with an API of Leaderboards for your games, a demo project specially designed for Construct 3 is created and available for download in our platform.

    First you need to read the terms of publishing games on Crimson Games, and if fit to your game then you can create an account totally FREE of charge forever.

    Once you create an account you can upload your games to our platform, is recommended that you test the integration of our API in your games not mandatory but yes recommended.

    We offer 3 types of uploads, image, self hosted and hosted by us.

    Image: Means that is only an image of your game is not playable.

    Self hosted: Is for users who host the game outside crimsongames.io so for instance in itch.io or negrounds.com and then just add the external url of the game.

    Hosted by Us: Means you upload the game as a .zip archive to crimsongames.io.

    The demo project can be downloaded from our website, so you can check all functionalities of the API.

    As I say before is not mandatory, even if you don't want to integrate the API of Leaderboards you still can upload your game test and play online.

    Some extra words, I created this project because always want to made an integration between PHP, MySQL, Bootstrap and Construct 3, and after years of learning finally comes true. As I said before is free I don't do this for money of fame just because I love games and if this can helps anyone with the need of a leaderboards or just to test his/her game online in a real server well is that for.

  • Hi mates I'm creating a leaderboards website for HTML5 games so i'm trying to integrate Construct 3.

    I already success on create player, set player score and get player score, but when i try to display all scores of the game...

    The website accept a game generate a Game ID, API secret key so in the AJAX request from Construct 3 project, add the url to send a POST request, with that data the Game ID and Secret API key.

    As you can see the PHP API is ok and returns a JSON encoded data of allplayers scores of the game.

    This is what i have so far.

    The console and AJAX response you see all the data is there but I can't get it loaded in the JSON element in Construct 3.

    Is this because of limit of Free version?

    How i can parse the allplayers data?

  • This is how I do:

    Enemy must be a part of the Family Enemies

    Enemies must have at least an instance variable

    Enemies must have Platform behavior

    inst_is_hurt type bool default false so when in my case the player sword hit that enemy the ins_is_hurt is changed to True

    Then in some Everytick in your game

    Check if Family Enemies pick by UID or any method you want and do check if Enemy.ins_is_hurt = true then move the enemy

    Moves enemy with Move forward by pixels 1 positive or -1 negative. Note: in my case is 1 or -1 but can be any value you need

  • In order for this to work you need to add a System -> trigger once along with System > Add 1 to Score, note that Touch is constantly so if the user is touching the Sprite every tick is adding 1 to Score so the Text "Score: 0" is goin to increment like hell, to avoid that maybe you can add another global like touched or answerOk

    Then

    if -> System -> answerOk = 1

    if -> System > guess = result

    System > trigger once

    System > Add 1 to Score

    System > answerOk = 0

  • You need to put it all together on start you set the Text to Score Global, the check Everytick for Score to change if so then set Text to "Score: 1"

    System > On start of layout > Text > Set text to "Score: " & Score

    System > Every tick > Text > Set text to "Score: " & Score

    This would be triggered once like

    if the answer is correct then:

    System > trigger once

    System > guess = result > System > set Score to Score+1

  • Are you in Every Tick calling the camera to position player like:

    Everytick

    set Camera position to another Object Player

  • Suppose you have two layers then one of them you put in Parallax 0.0 this is the Layer where the HUD or UI and the Player goes. In the other in which you want the Parallax effect, you must decide what type of Parallax you want horizontal, vertical or both.

    In case that Horizontal only affects X then you place the Parallax in 50,100, when moving the player with a ScrollTo for example the Parallax that affects the Background will move only in X.

    If you want it to be X and Y places the Parallax at 50.50 for example

  • If the object that is hit by Bullet is a Platform try with Gravity, first check the Direction of the Object with "Mirrored" if Bullet "Not Mirrored" and Object "Mirrored" move the Object with "apply force" to "Right" else to "Left" or with Gravity.X and Gravity.Y, note Gravity.X to move Horizontally and Gravity.Y to move it Vertically
