  • All businesses must purchase a business license for Construct 3 regardless to the intended use of the license. If you have any more questions, feel free to email (so we don't miss them by accident!)

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Check out Craigslist, Gumtree, Freecycle etc. Should be able to get one for free/really cheap.

  • They are all royalty free for use within Construct 2/3 projects. Please note however - you cannot profit from them in your creations unless you have an appropriate license.

Back sorry - my fault was a bug!

We've sold C2 to Zynga and King in pretty good numbers to name a couple. Don't think they have published games with C2, so am guessing they are using it for internal prototyping.

  • Thanks for the email - was regarding a small bug where the discount was not included when a different currency was selected. This is now resolved and refunds where applicable have been issued.

  • Hi all,

We're now accepting Paypal payments for Construct 3. We're not widely publicising this until next week to make sure everything is working smoothly.

At checkout, simply select Paypal from the drop down menu and go from there. Any bugs, please email them directly to me at

  • The discount/free year starts when you purchase Construct 3. If you have 100% off your first year, you still have to enter credit/debit details then your free year starts.

Currently there is no expiration on these discounts set.

  • They should all work with C3, unless they use third party plugins that have not yet been ported to C3.

  • Paypal support is actively being developed and coming on well - I think it'll be ready in 2 - 3 weeks.

  • No plans as of yet, but it's an area we could definitely improve in. Step 1 is to have a better central location for plugins (EG a plugin library part of the website)

  • Thanks Joel! AdventureX looks interesting, would probably of popped down but too busy this weekend. Glad you're enjoying C3, we're all enjoying working on it at the moment now we've gotten over the stress of a new product launch.

We're currently trying to recruit another web developer to help with our website and services (our current bottleneck).

  • [quote:1x9tswua]Do not pay the fee.

If you do not pay the fee, you do not have access to edit your games. You will have access to open and view them though (it will just warn you that the project exceeds the free edition limits). That's the limitation of the model we've gone for.

[quote:1x9tswua]Scirra bankruptcy and does not release C3 for X reasons.

We're in a really good place financially, we're not at all concerned. We have years of runaway without needing to raise funds. We have no debt and sales of Construct 3 are going great. Secondly, if it does ever happen we'd do everything we can to ensure our customers were not left in the dust (eg, another company would buy us or we open source the engine).

[quote:1x9tswua]C3 goes to C4. Scirra does not provide C3 independently and to continue editing your games you must subscribe to C4, Scirra grabbed you by the eggs.

Absolutely zero plans for Construct 4. Our plan is to continually and iteratively improve it.

I'm not sure what else I can say, is there any answer you're hoping we give you that would satisfy you?

    Hello!

The store is back up and running - apologies for the problems here.

The cause was we were using Yahoo's open API's to retrieve currency exchange rates. Lots of websites use these free services and have done for many years. Without warning, Yahoo has disabled access to these API's.

On Construct.net, this caused a silent failure. On Scirra.com unfortunately if any currency other than GBP was selected it was cause an exception.

We've moved to a paid forex service which should provide better stability and reliability now - and don't anticipate any more problems here going forwards.

Again, apologies for any concern or inconveniences caused and thank you everyone who took the time to report this.

  • Hi Caesar,

To clarify (and this applies to C2 and C3):

    • If you pay someone to make a game for you, and they send you a game you're allowed to publish/sell/distribute as you wish without limitation.
    • If you yourself wish to make any changes to the game project files and publish these changes, you will need a C2 or C3 license.

    Hope that clears it up!
