  • theres a load of alien stuff on that site, snes alien had better animation i think. Be nice as place holders till you draw some.

    I think the sense of dread in aliens games is how randomly the aliens turn up. But they always make the aliens too big or to small, no ones realy got that right..... yet .

  • closest ive come to that is changing angles every 0.005 seconds (making curves) and waiting so long and changing speeds and.... hard work!!! ..

    trying to find something online like archive calculations or something from the originals..

  • could somebody make a capx that i can study with a view of making galaga style patterns (not the easiest thing to read up on )

    there has to be an easier way than "go 90 degrees for 1 second, turn 45 degrees for 0.005" ect...

  • Nice boss! i thought the wave patterns could use a bit more imagination though, too predicable. A lesson im learning my self, well worth learning though judging by some of the classic shoot em ups

  • Combo of light emboss and glow effects:D (damn that 2 effects limit)

    emboss makes it look old and screwed up lol

  • its meant to look as if the screen is saturated in chip fat (british thing i think)

  • thanks for trying and commenting, its was inspired by the graphics of the sega master system and thunderforce 2 on the megadrive so i guess its a success lol

  • Hi ive recently managed to blow my dual core 3.2 gig, 4 gig ram pc up and im now on an old 600mhz imac g3, 513 mb.

    Its all so alien to me and of course i cannot spend the hours and hours i have been putting into my beloved contruct 2 :(

    can anyone suggest anything similar and as "visual" as contruct, that would run on this beautiful p.o.s. that im on :P

    currently ive decided to crack open an amstrad cpc emulator and learn some basic while i wait..so this will all work out cool in the end, and ill have alot stronger understanding of variables and arrays ect.

    also, any games that would work on here..deus ex kind of era, i cant find a thing...its like this thing just fell from space.

    btw i love stuff like systemshock 1/2
